Job Introduction
What you’ll do
As a Budgeting and Forecasting Analyst, you will support the Budgeting and Forecasting Manager in managing the monthly management accounts cycle and contributing to the budgeting and forecasting processes. Your role includes assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial reports and working collaboratively with different teams to gather necessary financial information.
As an integral member of the Finance team, you will drive a customer centric ethos and continuous improvement culture within our Finance team, ensuring all finance services deliver the best outcomes for our residents
How you’ll do it
• Assist in managing the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting activities, providing detailed analysis and support
• Collaborate with finance business partners and other departments to collect and consolidate financial data
• Support the preparation of financial reports, providing insights into business performance and financial health
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
• Communicate financial information clearly to support internal decision-making processes
• Assist in the development and maintenance of financial reporting systems and tools, ensuring they meet the needs of the organisationDeliver continuous performance improvements across the function
• Maintain accurate data, managing large complex data sets on excel and in-house systems

Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.
In addition, you will need the following:
• Hold, or be working towards, a CCAB recognised accounting qualification with supporting CPD,.
• Experience working on management reporting and the budgeting cycle within a large complex group
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audience engagement; work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Strategic thinking ability; capable of analysing complex data to develop solutions and make data driven decisions
• Experience influencing operational activities at both tactical and strategic levels across all areas of the business
• Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of D365 and Power BI preferred
• Uphold ethical principles including integrity, objectivity, professional competence, confidentiality, and professional behaviour
