What you’ll do
As a leader in the sector digitally transforming services, Notting Hill Genesis recognises the importance of Data in achieving its vision. Our Data Analytics Team has an exciting opportunity for a Data Modeller who will be at the forefront of NHG’s innovation in leveraging data to drive decision making and enhance operational efficiency. 
 
How you’ll do it
  • Develop solutions using a range of Data modelling techniques, whilst having an awareness of any ethical considerations. 
  • Understand the internal and external context and demonstrate the benefits of Data modelling within NHG. 
  • Collaborate within a cross-function team to develop Data models that support the organisation. 
  • Consistently make informed decisions in complex situations, communicate plans to management in simple, non-technical language, adhere to established guidelines, and documents new insights. 
  • Monitor data models to ensure they run effectively and support established SLAs. Be proactive and look at options to improve availability. Troubleshoot issues, escalate early and maintain effective communication during incidents.
  • Prepare and manipulate data and perform complex analytics. 
  • Present and communicate effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
Please note this role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.
 
  • A degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or economics or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working within cross functional teams including, data governance, information security, infrastructure and software engineering to design and deliver data products. 
  • Experience of building data models for business analysis and reporting.
  • Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.
  • Closely interact with business stakeholders, functional experts, business analysts, contractors, and developers to understand the system requirements and architect and design the data model and database schema based on the requirements.
