Head of Financial Planning and Analysis and Business Partnering

Job Introduction

We’re looking now for a head of financial planning and analytics and business partnering to lead a new team in our refreshed finance directorateYou’ll be a strategic lynchpin for our organisation, taking the lead on all facets of financial planning, including but not limited to the 30-year strategic business plan, annual budgeting and monthly reporting. Youll set the gold standard for business partnering across our organisation, forging effective relationships with key stakeholders, including colleagues in our analytics, treasury, capital and development teams. 

 

This is one of several new leadership roles created to transform how our finance function works so that teams are set up in the best way to support operational colleagues to deliver the outcomes that matter most to residents – our most important customers – and have the right tools to do their jobs well.  

 

The ideal candidate 

As a senior member of the finance team, you’ll drive a culture of customer-centricity and continuous improvement, ensuring all finance services deliver the best outcomes for our residents. 

 

You’ll be a capable strategic thinker, with the ability to analyse complex data, review alternative solutions, and reach speedy, well-informed decisions as well as a confident and experienced role model and leader, reflecting our organisational values 

 

In addition, you’ll be an excellent communicator and influencer, able to manage complex dynamics at all levels of our organisation and with external stakeholders.  

 

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who genuinely puts customers first, has a passion for our vision and mission and makes our values visible every working day. 

 

In addition, you’ll need: 

  • A CCAB recognised accounting qualification with supporting continued professional development 

  • A track record of success in a finance leadership role, including expertise in financial planning and analytics and business partnering 

  • Experience of leading successful change initiatives, especially in a financial setting 

  • Experience of working with multiple business units to centralise planning and reporting functions 

  • Ideally, experience of using the Brixx forecasting and planning tool

Our basic salaries are very competitive and, for pensions, we will contribute up to 10.8% of earnings alongside your contributions of up to 9.2%, which means that a maximum of 20% of earnings is put aside each month as total pension contributions.
