As a not-for-profit housing organisation providing more affordable homes for Londoners, we’re on a mission to work better together for our residents and make London home for those who live in our capital, whatever their personal circumstances.
We’re looking now for a Head of Talent Acquisition to lead the design and creation of a brand new recruitment service for our organisation and to build a team to ensure its effective implementation. This is a rare opportunity to develop a new function from scratch, testing innovative solutions and fresh techniques to support us to attract the best talent to deliver the best services to our residents.

The role
You’ll be responsible for delivering the full talent acquisition service through effective team management and well executed projects and hiring strategies, excellent business relationships and efficient processes and budget administration.
You’ll coach, empower and constructively challenge senior colleagues and the wider human resources team to ensure they play an active part in attracting and selecting high performing talent to the organisation. That will include ensuring that equality, diversity and inclusion and employer value proposition are at the core of every recruitment process and that you deliver an exceptional candidate experience.
Data will be key – you’ll need to use it to enhance your team’s impact and deliver recruitment efficiencies and provide clear market data to improve service, decision-making, cost efficiency and time to hire.
The ideal candidate
You’ll have significant experience in talent acquisition and, most recently, in leading a team alongside a track record of aligning talent acquisition and management strategies with an organisation’s overall goals and objectives.
Your understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing strategies and mechanisms will be deep and will include successful assessment approaches, onboarding, candidate experience and employer value proposition.
Demonstratable experience in working with external partners, driving headhunting strategies, market mapping, candidate engagement and long-term nurturing campaigns are additional core requirements as is a proven ability to engage and gain trust as a thought leader with diverse teams and leadership, based on expertise, experience, and a thorough understanding of the talent landscape.
A CIPD or REC qualification is desirable, but not essential.
