What you’ll doNotting Hill Genesis, one of London's largest housing associations, are seeking Senior Finance Business Partners to join our thriving Service Charges team. 

As a Senior Finance Business Partner for Service Charges, your role involves being the vital link between the Finance and Operational service charge teams. You will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that optimise income, ensure compliance with legislation and provide residents with fair and transparent charging

How you’ll do it

  • Specialise in financial management, focusing specifically on service charge operations
  • Communicate effectively across all levels, influencing financial and strategic decisions
  • Play a crucial role in understanding and managing the financial aspects of service charges, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to service charge teams, offering dedicated business partnering support.
  • Lead financial planning and reporting for service charges, adhering to legal and audit requirements and ensuring timeliness and accuracy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, particularly Operations, and relevant external partners to enhance service charge processes
  • Develop and adapt reporting processes to meet the specific needs of service charge management, providing insightful financial analysis

  • Hold a CCAB recognised accounting qualification with supporting CPD.
  • Uphold ethical principles including integrity, objectivity, professional competence, confidentiality, and professional behaviour; be a role model of the organisation's values.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audience engagement; work collaboratively
  • Strategic thinking ability; capable of analysing complex data to develop solutions and make well-reasoned decisions
  • Experience influencing operational activities at both tactical and strategic levels
  • Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of D365 and Power BI preferred
  • Evidence of strong partnerships and relationship building with internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage, develop, appraise and performance manage staff to ensure they are fully motivated to achieve best performance
  • Knowledge of service charge activities and legislation, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge

Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.
