Landscape Services Manager

Job Introduction

What you’ll do

Reporting to Head of Estate Services, you will have oversight for the landscaping services being delivered across NHG. This covers our gardening as well as trees and our sustainability enhancement projects to name a few. You will take the lead on ensuring the provision of a high-quality service through our contractors to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction as par of our better places strategy.

How you’ll do it

You will keep our better places strategy central to all of your work. By focussing on improving the areas around our residents homes you will make help make London home for thousands of NHG residents. A dedication to working with our contractors ensuring the best possible service and value for money will be crucial. A consistent eye for detail in day to day delivery whilst planning for the coming seasons and years will help maximise residents experience. Staying on top of the best practice in the sector and specialism will enable you to support your team in driving performance. Your use of data to assess output and where to target to drive improvements will form part of your day to day work.

Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification. 

Essential:

  • You must be very knowledgeable in horticulture and arboriculture with appropriate qualifications supporting this experience based knowledge. 
  • A track record of leading large scale contractors covering all aspects of the landscape management portfolio, ideally in a residential setting. 
  • Experience of leading a team, motivating them to drive performance for the benefit of residents or customers. 

Desirable:

  • A strong background in the use of data leading to strategic planning and improved performance as a result
  • Knowledge and history of working within the social housing sector.
