Our Key Workers and Student Lets team have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Multi-Skilled Plumber, to join our dynamic business with extensive growth plans and excellent career prospects.
Working closely with the Supervisor, our Maintenance Operatives and various third-party contractors, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our units are maintained to a very high standard.
Main Responsibility
This role will be based at various sites, which includes a variety of different home types to meet the needs of our varied and diverse customer groups.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, customer-focused and forward thinking Multi-Skilled Maintenance Plumber to work in delivering a maintenance services at our various Key Worker and Student Let sites.
Reporting directly to the Multi- Skilled Supervisor and alongside a Multi Maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing and completing a range of repairs and maintenance tasks, including undertaking planned and responsive repairs for tenants, staff and void properties. For this reason, it’s paramount that you have a number of skills from other recognised trades i.e., carpentry, plumbing, tiling and electrical work. You will be a first responder in cases of emergency and will be trusted to provide a high-quality service in accordance with the relevant safety regulations.
Your work will be crucial in meeting our residents' needs; therefore, your expertise is essential to ensure we are compliant with relevant health and safety regulations will be central to your success.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have extensive experience in plumbing and drainage systems, repairing leaks and drainage systems, installing air conditioning units, boilers and washing machines, joining rainwater and drainage pipes, maintaining boilers and central systems etc.
We are looking for somebody who has basic knowledge of carpentry and other associated trades. We are looking for somebody who is extremely thorough, with excellent attention to detail.
You will play a key role in reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring the smooth transition of re-letting one of our 1100 Key Workers and Student Let units within Greater London, to a high specification.
We are looking for somebody who naturally has high standards, has an adaptable attitude to manage reactive tasks, sometimes at short notice, approaching every task with professionalism and excellence.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the Key Worker and Student Let service delivering exceptional service to our customers. Your effective communication skills and ability to understand with empathy, the diverse needs of our customers will be essential to this role.
