Job Introduction
What you’ll do
We’re looking for a caring and highly organised Project Officer (Resident Safety Support) to join our Building Safety Regulation team and help keep our most vulnerable residents safe in their homes. As our Project Officer (Resident Safety Support), you’ll make sure every resident with service adjustments living in our higher and medium-risk buildings has a plan to evacuate in an emergency. You’ll reach out to residents who may need our support, take time to understand their needs, and arrange for one of our specialists to assess them. You’ll keep clear, auditable records of our communication with residents and of the Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) put in place, and protect their sensitive data throughout. You’ll also give dependable desk-based support across the wider team. This is a hybrid role, with at least three days a week in an office or in a community, site-based or partnership setting.
How you’ll do it
- Analyse our service adjustment (vulnerability) data to help identify which residents are in scope of the Residential PEEPs Regulations
- Contact residents through their preferred method, using soft influencing skills to encourage them to book a Person-Centred Fire Risk Assessment (PCFRA) where needed, and schedule appointments for the team
- Manage multiple cases and tasks through our CRM system, handling sensitive data in line with GDPR and getting residents’ consent for the information we hold
- Monitor the team inbox, respond to queries within agreed timescales and track the outcomes of referrals
- Help promote residential PEEPs through internal articles, posters, flyers, webpage updates and large-scale mailouts to residents and stakeholders
- Support the Resident Safety Support Manager with desktop audits, performance data and new processes, and help the wider team with tasks such as raising purchase orders, processing invoices and taking minutes
