What you’ll do
As a Renew Moves Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality homes through our Better Homes initiative. Working as part of the Renew Programme within the Housing Directorate, you’ll support the relocation of residents into newly refurbished properties, ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout the process.
The Renew Moves Officer role is focused on delivering an excellent resident experience, coordinating housing moves, and supporting the wider voids and lettings programme. You’ll act as the main point of contact for residents, ensuring their needs are understood and reflected in relocation plans, while helping deliver improved housing standards and customer satisfaction. The Renew Moves Officer is central to ensuring residents feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their move.
How you’ll do it
- Lead on resident engagement, managing communication, home visits, and sign‑ups to support a seamless relocation process.
- Review resident information and develop tailored move plans that reflect individual needs while meeting programme objectives.
- Coordinate all aspects of the move process, including scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder involvement.
- Maintain accurate resident records and data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and organisational policies.
- Monitor progress against programme milestones, identifying risks and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, including contractors and support services, to ensure efficient and effective move delivery.

Essential:
Strong customer services skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Ability to manage sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
Proficiency in using housing management systems and Microsoft Office tools
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and with external stakeholders
Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
we offer hybrid working pattern of office - based days and 2 working from home. Office days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
