Retrofit Project Manager

Job Introduction

What you’ll do

As a Retrofit Project Manager, you’ll lead our retrofit programme within the Planned Investment Department, ensuring that improvement works across our homes are delivered effectively, meet high performance standards, and comply with funding requirements. Working closely with colleagues responsible for pre‑works and delivery, you’ll help ensure our programmes align with strategic objectives and support our commitment to improving energy efficiency and long‑term sustainability across our homes.

How you’ll do it

  • Support the delivery of an annually rolling retrofit programme, identifying homes to be upgraded and ensuring performance targets are met.
  • Manage programme alignment across retrofit and cyclical works to maximise efficiencies and minimise disruption to residents.
  • Lead on planning and preparation phases, from property identification through to detailed design, scoping, and pricing.
  • Administer grant funding, including processing claims, managing drawdowns, and maintaining accurate scheme information.
  • Oversee programme reporting and ensure accurate data is maintained for monitoring, evaluation, forecasting, and wider grant compliance.
  • Support project managers and external partners during the preparation stages, contributing to scope development, design briefs, and technical support.
  • Lead the loft insulation programme, ensuring compliance with standards, high‑quality delivery, and effective contractor performance.
  • Provide insights and feedback to strengthen retrofit delivery, support appraisals, and contribute commercial understanding across the programme.
  • Oversee commercial activity, working with project managers and cost consultants to ensure budgets are controlled and grant value is maximised.
  • Identify and manage risks across pre‑works and delivery phases, escalating issues where needed.
