We’re looking for an experienced Solicitor - Disrepair and Compliance to lead and empower a team providing first-class legal services to NHG. How you’ll do it
- Manage your own caseload of housing management litigation, including disrepair, Environmental Protection Act claims and access injunctions, and lead on complex or substantial matters
- Lead and mentor a team of paralegals, monitoring caseloads against performance indicators and practice management standards, and supporting their training and development
- Take day-to-day responsibility for the disrepair and compliance workstream within the in-house legal team, and deputise for the Head of Legal (Litigation)
- Be accountable for the preparation, drafting and response to legal documentation, bundles, evidence and witness statements, making sure your team delivers to a high standard
- Act as a specialist legal resource for operational and frontline teams, providing advice and training that supports residents and safeguards NHG
- Flag and prioritise high-risk cases, anticipate risks and propose mitigations, and manage legal spend in line with budget and the legal services framework
