As a Supported Housing Officer, you will be the key NHG contact for anything relating to your residents’ homes. You will build and maintain excellent relationships with residents, offering an empathetic and personal housing service. Where a care and support provider (including NHG) delivers on-site, you will work exceptionally closely with this teams to achieve a joined up approach.

Care and Support (C&S) aspires to be the leading provider of supported housing within NHG’s geographical footprint, playing a key role in reducing the challenges our customers face.

You will be the principle housing contact for your supported housing residents, whose needs will range from experiences of homelessness or domestic violence to cognitive impairments and age-related conditions such as reduced mobility and frailty. You will deliver housing management services specialised to the client group, considering at all times their needs and vulnerabilities and putting them at the heart of our service.

You will ensure a safe, supportive environment by reporting repairs and managing the health, safety and cleanliness of the site. By developing superb relationships with customers and local stakeholders, you will be key to upholding NHG’s reputation and helping us achieve our aspirations.

Main Responsibility

The Supported Housing Officer (SHO) delivers housing management services and being actively involved in organising activities for the residents. Your role will often include working in partnership with other agencies and advocating for residents, as well as setting clear expectations with residents, so they consistently have the information and assistance to sustain their tenancies.

You will be personally committed to delivering the highest quality housing management services, ensuring that our homes are well-managed, with minimised voids, maximised income, and above all offer positive environments for our residents.

Deliver a responsive onsite service, looking after communal facilities, first line housing management, organising activities for residents and delivering customer service of the highest standard. Overall, the role calls for a highly collaborative, service-minded, and proactive individual, keen on making a positive impact on residents' lives.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would have experience providing a customer focused service to customers with support needs, in a social care or social housing environment.  Good working knowledge of the service’s customer group and experience working alongside multiple teams/agencies,

Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.

This role is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months.
