Landscape Services Officer

Job Introduction

What you’ll do

As one of the landscape services officers you will work closely with our contractors. You will make sure the day-to-day landscape services are delivered in line with the contractual timeframes. Focusing on the better places arm of our NHG making London home strategy you will drive the aesthetics on our estates. This will see you working across both elements of horticulture and arboriculture. 

How you’ll do it

You will do this by spending a large amount of time on our sites with our contractors and residents. You will set clear guidelines around what is expected making sure the quality of work provides value for our residents and makes the green spaces as nice as possible. Through your close working with our contractors you will proactively target investment and increase biodiversity across the sites in your region. Your proactive inspections of sites will help generate actions plans for appropriate seasonal work all with the aim of providing better places to live. 

The ideal candidate

We believe great service starts with great people, and we are committed to recruiting and developing passionate, enthusiastic, and talented individuals who can add value to our thriving organisation. Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification. The role is a great chance to build on an already existing passion for both customer services and horticulture. Training will be provided to support embedding knowledge picked up through experience though a qualification would be greatly received. 

Essential:

  • A passion for being outdoors with a good knowledge of plants, trees and landscape management 
  • Experience in contract management
  • A drive to deliver excellent services for residents 

Desirable:

  • Appropriate qualification at level 2 or above in horticulture 
  • A good knowledge through qualifications or experience of arboriculture
