What you’ll do

Our supported and temporary housing team really gets to the heart of social housing, providing homes for some of the most vulnerable and marginalised people in our communities.  

Are you passionate about creating positive first impressions and providing excellent customer service? Join our business development team as a Lettings Officer and play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for residents moving into temporary housing with us. 

Reporting to our Void and Quality Lead, you'll be responsible for delivering a responsive, customer-focused lettings service for our temporary housing residents. 

How you’ll do it

You’ll ensure our properties are ready to become homes and will support our residents during the letting and settling-in period by providing an exceptional customer experience. 

Specific duties will include:

  • Undertaking quality control inspections of ready-to-let homes, ensuring they meet standard, are safe and compliant
  • Actively seek potential residents, assessing suitability and affordability and preparing necessary documentation with precision and attention to detail 
  • Foster strong relationships with residents through conducting viewings and lettings in-person
  • Maintain contact with residents whilst they settle in, providing a responsive service to address concerns
  • Advocate on behalf of residents for high-quality homes within the portfolio
  • Monitor and control the lettings process to deliver on performance indicators and support with reducing void turnaround times

Essential:

  • Evidence of building and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Demonstrable accuracy, and a systematic approach to record keeping, document control and filing
Desirable:
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective team collaboration skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate attention to detail
