Senior Business Architect

Job Introduction

What you’ll do

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Business Architect to lead the team driving forward our change agenda by turning NHG’s strategy and vision into a clear, customer-centred blueprint for how we operate. Working with leaders across the business, our Senior Business Architect will build and maintain the operating model, business capability model, value streams and design principles that guide where and how we invest in transformation. You’ll make sure our design solutions are viable, efficient and focused on better outcomes for residents, while leading and developing a team of Business Architects. This is a hybrid role, with two to three days a week in our main office, reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning and Transformation.

How you’ll do it

  • Own and maintain NHG’s business capability model, defining capability taxonomies and levels to inform priorities aligned to our strategy
  • Shape the Target Operating Model (TOM), linking strategy to end-to-end customer journeys, data, processes and enabling technology
  • Lead value-stream mapping and options analysis across NHG, proposing pragmatic roadmaps that balance value, risk cost and time to benefit.
  • Lead the design work on projects and programmes entering our transformation and change portfolio, from current-state analysis, through to the target operating model, and the change required.
  • Define and steward business architecture principles and guardrails, running or contributing to design authorities, embedding NHG’s service design standards and maintaining the business architecture repository so our design knowledge stays discoverable and in-house
  • Contribute to business cases and portfolio planning with capability-based impact assessments, benefits logic, success measures and dependencies
  • Build, lead and coach a team of Business Architects, allocating the team against portfolio priorities and evolving methods, templates and playbooks
