Job Introduction
Welcome
Thank you for your interest in joining the People Directorate at Notting Hill Genesis.
This is an exciting time to join NHG. Our People function is evolving to become more confident, proactive and insight‑led, working closely with leaders to build capability, strengthen performance and support the delivery of great outcomes for residents.
People Development sits at the heart of our People Strategy. We help colleagues build the confidence, capability and ways of working they need to deliver high‑quality, resident‑focused services—now and in the future. Our work plays an important role in shaping NHG’s culture, leadership approach and how change is embedded across the organisation.
The People Development Administrator role plays a vital part in enabling this ambition. This is an early‑career opportunity for someone who enjoys organisation, coordination and supporting others, and who wants to build a long‑term career within Learning & Development and People Development.
What the role is all about
As a People Development Administrator, reporting to the Head of Talent & Performance, you will provide high‑quality administrative and coordination support across the whole People Development function, including Learning & Development, Talent & Performance, Early Careers & Apprenticeships and EDI & Wellbeing.
You’ll help ensure the team operates smoothly by managing shared inboxes, scheduling activity, coordinating logistics and maintaining accurate records. Your work will support the delivery of learning, induction, talent and engagement activity across NHG and help create a positive colleague experience.
This role is designed as a development pathway position. You’ll begin as a coordinator within People Development, and within your first 4–6 months you will be supported to enrol onto a Level 3 Learning & Development apprenticeship, enabling you to grow your capability and build a foundation for a career in the people profession.
How you’ll make a difference
You’ll help ensure People Development operates effectively as a joined‑up team by:
- Enabling learning, induction, talent and early careers activity to run smoothly and professionally
- Freeing up specialists, partners and managers to focus on delivering high‑quality development activity
- Ensuring colleagues have well‑organised, positive interactions with People Development
- Supporting the organisation to scale and evolve its people development offer as NHG grows
- Your contribution will be felt in the quality, consistency and reliability of People Development support across the organisation.
How you’ll do it
You’ll work closely with colleagues across all People Development pillars to coordinate core activity and provide reliable administrative support. This will include:
- Managing shared People Development in boxes and responding to or redirecting queries
- Maintaining the People Development calendar, scheduling training, induction sessions, talent activity and team events
- Coordinating room bookings, catering and event logistics, working with Business Services as required
- Supporting financial processes, including raising, receipting and tracking purchase orders and invoices
- Maintaining accurate records, trackers and documentation to support People Development activity
- Supporting learning programmes, talent reviews, engagement activity and values‑or leadership‑led interventions
- Assisting with induction and orientation activity, including scheduling, attendance tracking and logistics
- Providing light‑touch support to Early Careers & Apprenticeships activity, including documentation, scheduling and communications
- Supporting EDI & Wellbeing initiatives with event logistics or communications when required
- Assisting with updates to People Development intranet pages and systems
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve ways of working
- Over time, you’ll build your skills and confidence through hands‑on experience and by completing your Level 3 apprenticeship.
